“My career has taken me from accountancy to computing but my hobby and passion has always been photography. With a fascination for mathematics I explored fractals many years ago but it was only recently that I realised their potential in an artistic way.”

“I describe my work as photo fractal art and maybe this is a new art form? If not new it is certainly different, contemporary and visually intense. I start with a very simple digital image often captured when walking in the countryside around the villages and shores of the South Lakeland area. Wild flowers and hedgerow plants are my inspiration. Selected for a combination of colour and form my simple image, often just a flower from a larger scene, is the base for my work. I take this image and use it to create a riot of colour in multiple layers using fractal software and a combination of digital software techniques.”
