After about at Brettargh Holt Junction bear left then at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the
A590 at the Meathop roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A590, at the next roundabout take the 1st exit towards
Barrow (A590).  Yet another roundabout and this time its the 2nd exit onto the A590, at the traffic signal turn
left onto the A5087 towards the Coast Road.

There is a Co-op on the right after about 1 mile, then Bardsea Leisure Park on the left after a further 1/2 mile and
finally the Manjushri Buddhist Centre in on the left.  Turn right after about 100 yards and immediate left
in to Eden Lodge

Follow the drive up to the car park on the left.  The path is gravel if this makes walking or pushing a wheelchair
difficult then there is a second entrance at the right of the hotel as you look at it.  There is a ramp
here and is a much easier entrance for people with movement and walking difficulties.

The front entrance has 6 steps and a handrail, the side entrance has the ramp but no handrail. The Restaurant, Bar & lounge
are all on the ground level,  there is a easy access/disabled toilet on the ground floor.  There is a twin bedded room
with a large wet room with seat, hand rails and specially adapted toilet and wash area.

The bedside lamps are turned on and off by touch, there are cups, spoons etc for guests with gripping difficulties.  The hotel
information brochure is printed in large black ink on yellow paper and alligned to the left making it easier to read for the
visually imparied.  There are also large print menus, tariffs and phones with larger numbers.  We also have pressure pads for under
pillows to warn guests with hearing difficulties of an evacuation or emergency.

We are sending staff on the Welcome All course to try and give them a better understanding of the range of disabilities
and the problems encounter in everyday life.

And finally if there is something we are doing wrong tell us, if there is something missing tell us or just ask if you
need anything at all we will try and help.
